Animating Sprites in Unity

To add to the aesthetic of my game I will animate the power up. Using the animator tab you can drag and drop sprites to make a sprite animation these are clips that are made from 2D assets.

Select the GameObject you would like to add animation to then open up this window. Start recording:

Select you sprites and drop onto the dope sheet while it is recording. it will fill up the frames like so

When it is made it will add a component to your GameObject. In the project browser be sure to save it in a animations folder to help mange your files. You can open the controller and see how it runs, this one is in a loop and looks like this:
